Hello! I'm Christian, and I'm a software developer. student. minimalist. tech enthusiast. food lover. thinker. world traveler. programmer. professional boba critic. basketball fan. Triton.

I'm currently a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science at UC San Diego, where I am a recipient of the Jacobs Engineering Scholarship, a full-ride merit scholarship awarded by UC San Diego to about ten students each year.

In my free time, I enjoy teaching myself new programming languages and concepts, keeping up with technology trends, watching basketball, and working on side projects. I'm all about making life easier for people, so I'm most interested in software engineering opportunities in product development!

Feel free to contact me, review my resume or check out my Github profile!

Work Experience
Amazon Lab126
Software Engineering Intern • Alexa Speech
June 2018 - September 2018

I interned on the Alexa Speech team, developing tools to assist scientists in training Alexa ML data models.

Teradata
Software Engineering Intern • New Product Introduction Team
June 2017 - December 2017

I interned on Teradata's New Product Introduction Team, working on several different projects. I updated and refactored StressAppTest, a tool that is used to stress test the memory and CPU components of servers. I'm also working on a server update tool that allows engineers to update the BIOS firmware of multiple servers in the same system at once. Throughout my internship, I've gained experience in Java, C++, SLES, Agile PLM SDK, RPM constructions, various Intel BIOS tools, and Bash shell scripting.

Cisco
Software Engineering Intern • Enterprise Data Science Team
January 2017 - June 2017

I interned in Cisco's Enterprise Data Science organization, working on developing a product recommendation engine for Cisco sellers to increase product sales. Our goal was to develop an algorithm that could apply data modeling techniques to historical data to predict which products a customer would be most likely to purchase. During this internship, I was exposed to Python, R, dplyr, and various data modeling techniques, such as user-based collaborative filtering and market-basket analysis.
